What time does the event finish?
The event usually finishes around 11.00am, but many people stay around and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Prams start 10mins after each event and must walk in single file to allow walkers and runners to pass with safety.
When do entries close?
- Enter by post or online by 2 May, to have your event information kit mailed to you
- 3-9 May: Enter online and pick up your event information kit from the office or on the day
- Up to 9 May: (8.30am - 5.00pm) enter in person at State Association House, 73 Wakefield Street Adelaide and you will receive your event information kit
- Saturday 10 May: Enter at Pinky Flat between 1.00pm - 3.00pm (Late fee applies)
- Sunday 11 May: Enter at Pinky Flat between 7.00am - 9.00am (Late fee applies)
What roads will be closed?
No roads will be closed as the event will be held on the Linear Path route around the Torrens River.
Where can I pick up my race number?
Numbers will be posted to you if your entry is received by May 2. After that you can pick them up from the office at 73 Wakefield Street (between 8.00am-5.00pm Monday-Friday) or on the morning from 7.00am from the Numbers Pick-Up marquee located at Pinky Flat.
What if I lose my race number?
You can pick-up another race number from Number Pick-Up on the morning of the event. All participants must wear a race number. Anyone without a race number will not be permitted to start the event.

Are dogs permitted in the event?
No, for safety reasons, DOGS are not allowed – please do not bring your pet.
Are bikes/skateboards/rollerblades permitted in the event?
No, for safety reasons, bikes/skateboards/rollerblades are not allowed.

What should I wear?
Walkers - normal street clothes and a comfortable pair of shoes. Runners - comfortable running gear and shoes.

Where can I park?
Parking is available the Parade Ground or Southern Park – SACA grounds.
If parking on the street, please adhere to parking times as fines will be enforced. No parking allowed on Pinky Flat without a permit.

Where is the start and finish line?
The start line is located on Pinky Flat off War Memorial Drive (opposite Next Generation and Tennis courts).

I have sent my entry in but haven’t heard anything - has my entry been accepted?
Race kits will commence being sent 4-6 weeks prior to the event. If you are concerned, call the Event Hotline on (08) 8232 1847.

I have received my event information kit but not my merchandise?
Event information kits and event merchandise are sent separately. If you have not received your event merchandise before the event you can pick it up on the day.

What will the entry show on my credit card?
If you enter by mail your credit card statement will show “Life Leisure Events Management Inc”.
if you enter online your credit card statement will show “Life Leisure Events Management Inc”.

What happens on the main stage?
A number of delegates, celebrities and sponsors will be giving brief talks on the main stage. The main stage will also be used for the memorial minute silence and warm-up aerobics.

How long will it take to walk?
4km - about 45 to 55 minutes
7.2km - about 80 to 120 minutes

What age categories are there for the runners?
U15, U18, 18-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+

Are there any food vendors?
Coffee carts, Rotary Sausage Sizzle, bacon and eggs.
Do you get a trophy?
Presentations will include trophies and prizes for place getters (1st, 2nd, 3rd) of the running events, along with lots of random spot prizes for participants of all events.
All competitors will receive a medallion in their show bag. Age category winners medals will be posted in the mail two after the event.

Will I be timed?
We are only timing the runners in both the 4km and the 7.2km runs. The walkers are not being timed.

Can I change the event I am in?
Yes, but the different walk/run events have different starting times. It is important that we are aware that you are changing events. Please go to the registration tent so your name can be recorded in the appropriate event. (This is a safety issue).
You will be issued with a new event number. Just make sure you depart for the event you want to change over to when the announcement is made at the assembly area.
What time will the aerobic warm-up start?
The aerobic warm up will commence at 7:40am for all runners and 9:20am for all walkers, in front of the main stage.

Where can I leave my bag?
There is a Baggage Area to leave your clothing at the side of the ‘Life. Be in it.’ caravan. Please don’t leave any valuables in it.

Where will the toilets be?
The toilets are located north of the pond on Pinky Flat. Other toilets are available en-route at the Weir and at Jolley’s Boat House.

Where will the first-aid stations be located?
First aid stations will be located at Pinky Flat and at water stations enroute.

Where will the drink stations be?
Water is provided at three drink stations, one at the start/finish area and two on the course (Uni Bridge and Hackney Bridge).

Will there be massage?
Free pre and post event massage will be available at the assembly area.

Where do you pick up the MDC medallion and other event goodies?
Once you have completed your event you can collect your Mothers Day Classic medallion, showbag and event goodies, kindly donated by the sponsors on site.

Where can I find out my results?
Results will be available for the Adelaide event on the website www.motherdayclassic.org on Monday 12 May at 5pm. Remember, only runners are being timed.

Can I get a tribute placard if I didn’t order one?
Yes, you can pick up your tribute placard on the event day.
Will there be children’s entertainment?
Yes there will be a bouncy castle, life games, face painters and clowns.
I have a toddler, do they have to pay?
Children under 4 are not required to pay the entry fee, however it is a fundraising event and money raised does go towards breast cancer research.
