Dedicate the event to someone special
The Mother’s Day Classic gives you an opportunity to remember those who have been lost to breast cancer, to show support to someone with breast cancer or just to show appreciation to your mum on Mother’s Day.
Tribtute Cards will be available to allow you to dedicate your participation, and a memorial minute of silence will be held before your event starts.
You can wear a Tribute Card on the day, which can be worn in memory of a loved one, or inscribed with words of encouragement to someone currently undergoing treatment. To obtain your Tribute Card, go to the downloadable Tribute Card, tick the Tribtue Card the box on the registration form or visit the Information Tent on the day.
Fundraising is another way of raising money for breast cancer research, so why not set up your own fundraising page online? This can be done through this website, where you can upload a photo, a personal statement and track your progress. A fantastic prize will be awarded to the person from each state who raises the most money.
Help us reduce our administration costs and ensure that maximum funds go to breast cancer research by registering and raising funds online. If you don’t have internet access, please download fundraising form.
You can order our special Mother’s Day Classic merchandise (including t-shirts, hoodies, socks, caps and more!) when you register for the event. Detailed information and pictures of the merchandise are available on the website. You can purchase merchandise on the day (subject to availability). All profits from the sale of these items go to breast cancer research.
Merchandise orders will close on Friday 1 May 2009.
The Mother’s Day Classic is much more than a walk and run. Join in a range of activities on the day, including entertainment and the warm-up on the stage, the jumping castle for kids, spot prizes and more!
There are food outlets and coffee carts ready to go, as well as the Merchandise Marquee for all your Mothers Day Classic goodies. Why not visit the Information Tent and pick up a bunch of flowers for Mum? (with all proceeds going directly to breast cancer research).
Also don’t forget to pick up your commemorative medallion and your free show bag after you have finished your walk or run!
