Thank you to all who joined us on Sunday for another great Mothers Day Classic in Parramatta Park! The event has grown considerably since the inaugural Parramatta event in 2007, with over 3,000 people in attendance this year.

Where
At Parramatta Park, all walking and running events start and finish on West Domain Ave near the Queens Road Gatehouse. The course meanders through the historic grounds of Parramatta Park passing landmarks such as Old Government House, the Rotunda and Parramatta River.

Start Times
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your event in order to allow plenty of time to pick up your timing chip (runners only), to register if you haven’t already done so, and to warm up.

Registration closing dates
Please note: Online entries for the Mothers Day Classic in Parramatta Park have now closed. Race day entries are available in all walks and runs at Parramatta Park from 6.30am onwards.
How to register
Please note: ONLINE ENTRIES FOR THE MOTHERS DAY CLASSIC IN PARRAMATTA PARK HAVE NOW CLOSED.
We will be taking on the day registrations in all events at Parramatta Park from 6.30am onwards.
All Race Packs are being mailed this week. If by chance, you do not receive your Race Pack, please visit the Race Enquiries marquee on the day and they will be able to provide you with a new bib number.
Event information kit
An event information kit and your event bib will be mailed to all participants whose registration is received by Thursday 1 May 2008. You will also be able to download information here closer to the event.
The mailing of event information kits will commence two weeks prior to the event.
Prizes
All participants
- All participants receive a commemorative medallion.
- A complimentary giftbag which includes an exclusive Mothers Day Classic Tupperware item.
- Spot Prizes - all participants will be eligible to win great spot prizes including weekend packages, restaurant meals and gift baskets.

Runners
- Male and female winners of the 4 km run will receive $500 kindly donated by BT Financial Group.
- Male and female winners of the 8 km run will receive $500 kindly donated by Perennial Investment Partners.
- Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each age category.
Schools
- The largest school team will win a magnificent trophy
UniSuper Largest Tertiary Institution Team
- The largest team from New South Wales will receive a magnificent trophy
- The largest tertiary team to participate in the Mothers Day Classic nationwide will also receive $1000 prize money kindly donated by UniSuper
Corporate teams
- The largest corporate team will win a magnificent trophy. The competition is stiff so get out there and start recruiting now!
Highest individual fundraiser
- The highest individual fundraiser will win domestic flights to the value of $1000 kindly provided by QANTAS. Click here for more information on getting yourself sponsored.
Community team
- New in 2008! A community team may consist of a group of friends, a sporting club or a scout group, for example. The largest team will win a magnificent trophy.
Age categories
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the following age categories:
12 & Under; 15 & Under; 20 & Under; 21-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+
Dedicate the event to someone special
The Mothers Day Classic gives you a great opportunity to support or remember someone dear to you and their fight against breast cancer. Placards will be available to allow you to dedicate your participation, and a memorial minute of silence will be held before the event starts.
You can wear a tribute placard to dedicate your participation to someone you have lost to breast cancer, to someone who is fighting the disease, or to show your appreciation to your Mum on Mothers Day.
To obtain your placard, tick the box on the registration form or visit the Information Tent on the day to pick one up.

Merchandise
You can order our special Mothers Day Classic t-shirts, hoodies, socks, caps, aprons and even an oven mitt.
Detailed size information and pictures of the merchandise are available on the website. You can also purchase merchandise when you register on the day (subject to availability).
Merchandise ordered before 1 May will be mailed. Orders received after this date will be available for collection at the Merchandise Marquee on the day
Activities at the event
The Mothers Day Classic is much more than a walk and run! Join in a range of activities on the day, including entertainment and the warm-up on the stage, the jumping castle for kids, spot prizes and more.
There are food outlets and coffee carts ready to go, as well as the Merchandise Marquee for all your Mothers Day Classic goodies.
Why not visit the information tent and pick up a bunch of flowers for Mum? All proceeds going directly to breast cancer research.

Kids stuff
There are lots of activities for kids at the Mothers Day Classic. You will find a jumping castle and lots of entertainment.
Kids can enter the Mothers Day Classic to walk or run so long as they have permission from their parent or guardian.
