Registration closing dates
If you wish to qualify for the early bird registration fee your registration must be received by 5:00pm 28 April 2008. Your event kit information will be posted to you after this date. You can still register after 28 April, but the entry fee will be charged at the normal event fee rate. Enter after 3:00pm Wednesday 30 April and your event information kit will be available for collection from the race venue on either Saturday 10 May between 2:30pm - 4:30pm or at the event from 6:00am.
On the day please be patient as our staff are volunteers and are trying to help you as quickly as possible.

Team registration
In the interests of everyone’s safety, Mothers Day Classic participants will be asked to start in several waves according to your registered event, instead of starting in one large mass.
If you would like to be sure of starting in the same wave as your friends, you will have to enter in the same distance and event (i.e. 4 km walk).
Event information kit
All competitors who registered after Wednesday 30 April will need to collect your event bib on the morning of your event at the Mothers Day Classic registration area.
Please ensure you arrive at least 30 minutes before your event starts. You will also be able to download event information closer to the day.
Race day online information
Electronic timing device
Runners will be issued with a timing band which will be posted to you in your race day info pack - those who register after 30 April will need to collect it from the registration area on event day from 6:00am. Walkers will not be timed and will not be issued with a band.
Car parking
Parking will be available at South Bank from 5:30am on Sunday to accommodate competitors. This parking can be accessed via Little Stanley Street and is at a small charge. If you choose to park on the street, please obey all parking restrictions as per normal.Top
Dedicate the event to someone special
You can wear a tribute placard to dedicate your participation to someone you have lost to breast cancer or who is fighting the disease. To obtain your placard, tick the box on the registration form or visit our special placard tent on the day.

Image Magazine – Mothers Day Classic – competition terms & conditions
- The Promoters are Quest Community Newspapers ABN 98 008 438 828, Cnr Shand and Byth Streets, Stafford, QLD, 4178 Quest
- Instructions on how to enter form part of these conditions of entry.
- Competition is open to Image magazine readers. To be eligible, enter the Mothers Day Classic Brisbane event online at www.mothersdayclassic.org, and quote the special Image code (code available in the April editions of Image magazine). Prize will go to entrant who is highest fundraiser for 2008 Mothers Day Classic Brisbane event who has entered using the Image code.
- All funds raised are to be received by close of business Monday May 19 2008. When sending funds you can: Hand cash or cheque to MDC official on the race day at Southbank OR Take cash or cheque to USM Events Brisbane office by close of business May 19: Unit 1 120 Fison Ave West, Eagle Farm ph 3868 2444 OR mail cheques by close of business May 19 to: Mothers Day Classic Image competition, PO Box 1145 Eagle Farm Qld 4009. Cheques to be made out to National Breast Cancer Foundation. You need to provide your name, address, phone number and Image code to be eligible for the prize.
- The prize consists of: ½ carat total diamond heart pendant (RRP $699) donated by Michael Hill Jeweller; Pink ‘Cynthia’ designer leather handbag (RRP $175); Black Targus laptop bag (RRP $120); pink number plate protector (RRP $25); Pink & White ION by Telstra digital DECT cordless telephone with answering machine (RRP $70). Total prize value c$1100.
- Employees of the promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
- Judge’s decision is final and won’t be entered into.
- Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
- Winner will be notified by telephone in June and announced in the July edition of Image magazine.
- The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information relayed in the entry.
- The Promoters shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered, including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of entering the Mothers Day Classic or taking any of the prizes, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
