Event Details
Join an expected 80,000 Australians this Mother’s Day, Sunday 9 May, in walking or running the Mother’s Day Classic with family and friends to help raise money for breast cancer research.
The Mother’s Day Classic is a nationwide community event, bringing together those who have lost someone to breast cancer and those who want to get fit and donate to a worthy cause. It’s a poignant time to think of those who are no longer with us, with participants able to remember a loved one by wearing a personal message on a tribute card, or by writing a note of encouragement to those who are currently undergoing treatment.
In 2010, the Mother’s Day Classic will be held in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Geelong, Gold Coast, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney CBD and Sydney-Parramatta. There are also numerous regional events – local communities are encouraged to get involved by staging their own Mother’s Day Classic event, no matter how big or small!
